LG Rollable Concept looks great - If LG Phones actually live

LG has already teased the upcoming LG Rollable phone, but what the actual retail model will look like remains to be seen This concept shows one possibility

It is by LetsGoDigital and envisions what we can expect from LG's groundbreaking design, assuming LG's cell phone division can survive long enough to release it

We've already seen what LG's rollable displays look like, of course, and it was clear that what LG showed off at the CES keynote was far from a final product

Graphic designer TS Designer created several 3D models of the phone itself, based on images from LG's rolled cell phone patent While this will not be an exact copy of the final phone, it is based on LG's own design and should not differ significantly from the retail model

The renderings show off the regular 68-inch display, which extends from the right hand side to become a 74-inch display Not a huge change, but enough extra screen space to use it as both a phone and a tablet

There are two different ways to look at the phone: the expandable main display that LG has already teased and the secondary rear display where all the cameras are

This secondary display would mean that there would be no need for a formal front camera, and the main display would have no notches or perforated cameras to interfere with the seamless display This makes sense This is because no matter where the front camera is placed, it will be off-center due to the telescoping nature of the phone It wouldn't look good, and it would be easier to stick everything on the back

Of course, all of this would be moot if LG's cell phone division went under The company claims that the rollable phone will be released later this year, but we're a little worried that it may never see the light of day

In that case, we will have to wait for other companies like Samsung or TCL to release comparable designs and give us a real feel for their everyday use
