Pluto TV is one of the best free streaming services, constantly adding new channels of free ad-supported shows and movies. Earlier this month, 14 new shows were added, and now a channel that may become my new favorite is back.
This month, Pluto 007 is officially back on Pluto TV. This free streaming channel is all James Bond all day long.
Of course, you can also check out how to watch James Bond movies in order. Or, like me, you can watch them from the beginning on the James Bond Blu-ray box set. But now that Pluto has brought back “Pluto 007,” all you have to do is launch the free streaming service's app and start watching.
With Pluto 007, there are two ways to watch all the James Bond you can for free, as long as you don't mind a little advertising.
First, there is the free streaming channel Pluto 007. If you access this channel, you can watch a 24-hour stream of James Bond movies without having to do anything. Just sit back and enjoy.
For those like me who remember the “007 Christmas Day” marathons of the 90s and 2000s, this viewing experience should be a pleasant blast of nostalgia. I myself may recall queuing up “Pluto's 007” over Thanksgiving weekend in between live streaming of the NFL and binge-watching Bond films on “Spike TV” while eating a bellyful of turkey. Of course, I could wait for Christmas. ...... Why would I?
If you don't want to waste your time suffering through a Bond movie you don't like (I hate Roger Moore), don't worry. Pluto is offering all of the Pluto 007 films on demand for free. Again, all you need to do is put up with a few ads.
There are a few omissions; Pluto 007 offers 20 James Bond films for free with ads, and Pluto TV 007 en Español offers them in Spanish, but not all Bond films are available on this channel.
Surprisingly, Never Say Never Again, starring Sean Connery, is not available. It is merely a remake of “Thunderball,” which grew out of the legal battle between Eon and screenwriter Kevin McCrory.
Surprisingly, however, Sean Connery's two best performances as James Bond, “From Russia With Love” and “Goldfinger,” cannot be seen. Also, “Casino Royale” (2006), “Skyfall”, and “007/Spectre”, in which Daniel Craig played Bond, cannot be seen. This is probably a rights or licensing issue, but not that I know of.
More surprisingly, “Casino Royale” (1967), starring David Niven as Bond, is available on demand from Pluto TV. However, it is not part of Pluto 007. The film was produced by Columbia Pictures and is separate from the EON-produced Bond films. The EON-produced Bond movie is best known for Daniel Craig's debut as James Bond in 2006. As already mentioned, unfortunately, that 2006 film is not available on Pluto TV.
Still, despite these caveats, Pluto 007 offers 20 James Bond movies for free right now, all available on Pluto 007.
