Amazon's Black Friday campaign is terrible.

Amazon is the spiritual home of Black Friday. But despite the massive discounts offered on a huge variety of products, there are still plenty of things Bezos doesn't have on its endless cyber shelves.

Most interesting - to me, anyway - are the Black Friday VPN deals that are only available directly from the provider's website.

Nearly all the best VPNs are participating in this campaign, but I'm not going to bore you with deals that ask you to pay a whopping $5, $4, or even $3 per month for online privacy. All of these deals are less than $2 per month, and none of them cost more than about $55 total.

Buckle up - we're headed to Dealtown.

We rate Surfshark the cheapest VPN on the market.

At $55 all in, it's the most expensive deal on this page, but that reflects the bargain to come more than Surfshark itself. However, it is also the highest rated provider on this page, making it the best Black Friday deal for many.

Monthly price: $1.99/month ($55 all in)

Save over 1-month plan: up to 87%

Proton VPN is a great option if you are more of a bit of a techie who likes to customize your settings - but only because it is so easy to use, If you are a beginner, do not be put off. It is part of the Proton ecosystem, so if you are already using or want to start using Proton Mail or Proton Drive, they work well together.

But I won't lie - the reason you buy this is because it is a great value compared to other days of the year. I have never seen protons this cheap. This offer ends Saturday at 4 a.m. EST.

Monthly price: $1.99/month ($47 in all)

Save up to 80%

PrivadoVPN is the best free VPN we've tested; it doesn't have the quality of Proton VPN or Surfshark, but it is safe to use and very affordable. It is not as good as Proton VPN or Surfshark, but it is safe to use and very affordable.

Monthly fee: $1.11/month ($30 in all)

Save up to 90%

Our review of FastestVPN found this small provider to be quite usable, and we didn't find any hidden nasties that low-cost VPNs seem to hide. We did not discover any. Nevertheless, if you want a more premium experience, one of the three mentioned above would be a good choice. However, if saving money is your primary concern, I would recommend this VPN.

Take that, too, Jeff.

Lifetime total: $23.

Better value than a one-month plan: infinite?
