Strands #280

“A timely theme”

Hello Strands fans! Finally, I have a puzzle that doesn't require me to rely on hints!

Today's subject, “Timely Theme,” is obviously about watches in some way, and the “Z” in the lower right led me directly to the word BEZEL (probably a side effect of writing too long a cell phone review).

From there I saw the word “watch” and since it didn't register as an answer, I realized it must be part of the spangram. I looked around and finally found WATCHWORDS which neatly split the board in two.

The “X” on the first answer led me to LUXURY, then I found a CROWN at the top of the right side. Filling the gap was a series of letters that could only be written ANALOG.

Its companion was of course DIGITAL, which I found at the bottom left. Above that was FACE, and HANDS remained in the upper left corner, completing a rather fun puzzle.
