The weather outside is frightful, so it's time to settle down, grab some popcorn, and watch the best streaming services. But with so many new movies on offer, how do you know which ones are worth watching?
Whenever I'm not sure what to watch, I look at Netflix's top 10 movie list for inspiration. Of course, there's no guarantee that all of them will be winners, but it's a great tool to cut through the noise.
Netflix has put out a string of great original films this year, many of which are in the top 10. This week, Netflix's new Christmas rom-com starring Lindsay Lohan still holds its spot, while an underrated World War II drama that finally found an audience on streaming and a Michael Bay classic are getting renewed attention.
Without further ado, here are the best movies to add to your watch list in Netflix's top 10.

One of Netflix's most anticipated Christmas movies, Our Little Secret, starring Lindsay Lohan, has been doing well in the streaming top 10 since its release last week. After breaking up with her ex (Ian Harding), she discovers that he is dating the sister of her new boyfriend (John Rudnitsky). Forced to share Christmas under one roof while trying to make a good first impression on the other's family, the two resentful exes awkwardly try to get through the festive season without putting the lid on their romantic past.

After not making much of a splash at the box office or with critics, this World War II drama, which landed on Netflix this month, finally seems to have found an audience. It currently has a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Directed by Roland Emmerich, “Midway” tells the true story of the Battle of Midway, the pivotal bombing mission and intense dogfight that ultimately changed the course of the war. History buffs will recognize some of the key players in the battle, including Commander Jimmy Doolittle (Aaron Eckhart), who led the famous Doolittle raid, and Admiral Chester W. Nimitz (Woody Harrelson). While not for everyone, “Midway,” with its thorough commitment to realism, can be seen movingly by even those who are not fond of war movies.

Is “Transformers” a great movie? It is debatable. But it is a fun nostalgia trip to revisit the beginning of Michael Bay's sci-fi action series, especially now that Linkin Park has recently reunited after an extended hiatus (the band's song “What I've Done” was infamously played during the closing credits of the film (The band's song “What I've Done” is infamous for playing in the closing credits of the film.) The always impressive Shia LaBeouf anchors the film as Sam Witwicky. He discovers the race of shape-shifting robots when his first car turns out to be an Autobot disguised as Bumblebee; the two set out on a mission to recover the super-powered AllSpark, gathering Bumblebee allies like Optimus Prime along the way, after the villain Megatron launches a war against Earth. embarked on a mission to do just that.
