If you're looking for something new to watch this weekend on Amazon's Prime Video (which we now rate as one of the best streaming services), a quick look at this streamer's most watched movies and shows should help you find something new to stream.
Not every movie in Prime Video's top 10 is a must-see, so we've pulled a few from this chart (as of December 6) that are worth a look.
Admittedly, prime TV shows seem to dominate the list right now, but with Christmas just around the corner, the Top 10 welcomes several festive films that deserve attention. For more information on each film, please see below.
What can we say about “Die Hard” that hasn't already been said?
Perhaps you've seen the film before (perhaps every Christmas), and even if you haven't yet, you know at least one person who always tells you to check it out. And the reason for that? Because it's action movie gold.
“Die Hard” revolves around New York cop John McClane (Bruce Willis). He takes action against a gang led by the villainous Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), who has taken control of Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles and held everyone inside hostage, including McClane's wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia). McClane takes the fight to Gruber's thugs, armed only with his brains and a pistol, in order to save the hostages.

If you're not in the mood for all-out action but still want some Christmas cheer, “Holiday” is for you. This Christmas romantic comedy follows Iris (Kate Winslet), a London-based columnist for the Daily Telegraph, who still has feelings for her cheating ex, Jasper (Rufus Sewell). But when he announces his engagement to a new partner, she agrees to trade houses with Amanda (Cameron Diaz), a film trailer producer who lives in Los Angeles and is also trying to escape her cheating ex.
Across the pond, Iris develops a slow relationship with film composer Miles Dumont (Jack Black), and Amanda begins to burn something with Iris' brother Graham (Jude Law). Watch “Holiday” now on Prime Video
Want to see a more traditional Christmas? Then “Almost Christmas” is the perfect comedy-drama. David E. Talbert's holiday watch follows Walter (Danny Glover), a retired automotive engineer whose wife died less than a year ago. When the holidays arrive again, Walter invites his four grown children and other family members to his home.
But with everyone in the same place for the holidays, Walter comes to realize that it will take a Christmas miracle for the entire bickering family to stay together under the same roof for five whole days.
