Peacock has released the official trailer for its new true-crime miniseries “Lockerbie: A Search for Truth,” starring Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth (“The King's Speech”).
Peacock bills the film as “an intimate chronicle of one man, one husband, who risks everything in memory of his daughter and in pursuit of truth and justice.”
On its way to John F. Kennedy Airport, a bomb exploded in the cargo hold of Pan Am Flight 103, claiming the lives of all 259 passengers and crew (including 35 dead Syracuse University students). The wreckage crashed into the Scottish town of Lockerbie, killing 11 more residents.
After this tragic attack, Jim Swire was appointed to speak for the families of the British victims, united in the need to get to the bottom of the accident. Swire's subsequent relentless quest for justice is the subject of this five-part limited series. Watch the new trailer:
It's a gripping trailer, driven largely by Firth's impassioned performance. It shows harrowing scenes of Swire's deadly investigation and how far he went to get to the bottom of it.
