The latest news on “Fallout” Season 2 comes from our favorite ghouls.
On Instagram, “Fallout” star Walton Goggins (aka Cooper Howard/“The Ghoul”) shared a behind-the-scenes shot of the ghouls reapplying their makeup.
Along with this shot, Goggins revealed that he is happy to be back in action, writing: “Back in the saddle ....... #Do. Feels good to put my sleeves on this skin. I'm in this for the love of the game.” [A quick scroll through the comments section reveals that excited viewers (and fellow celebs) are telling Goggins how excited they are.
This comes just days after fellow star Ella Purnell announced her return to the wasteland on BlueSky, writing, “The wasteland is calling you #fallouts2 #falloutnewvegas.”
In late November, several possible set photos circulated on X (via Fallout Films). A fan driving past an abandoned motel on his way to Las Vegas saw what appeared to be the “Fallout” team filming something, judging by what appeared to be a Novac road sign for “Fallout: New Vegas”.
Sadly, information on “Fallout” Season 2 is still fairly scarce. Judging from the end of Season 1, there is very little plot information other than the fact that The Ghoul and Lucy McClain (Parnell) are headed to New Vegas to continue their search for her father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan).
We also know that the Deathclaw, one of Wasteland's most dangerous mutant creatures, is scheduled to appear at some point. Also, given that the first season was a new story set in the “Fallout” world, it is quite possible that the team is dreaming up strange new creations for the second season.
Not only is plot information scarce, but an official release date for “Fallout” season 2 has yet to be set. This is despite showrunners Geneva Robertson Dworet and Graham Wagner telling The Hollywood Reporter that they are “rushing as fast as possible” to produce a new season.
Given how complicated the realization of the wasteland is, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't appear until sometime in 2026. While we wait for more news, check out our roundup of Prime Video's best shows and best shows like “Fallout” to find your next must-see show.
