Fan favorite “Virgin River” returns for Season 6, and after a drama-filled romance, Mel and Jack finally get married. “What If...?” Season 3 marks the final chapter in the Marvel animated series, and Peacock's new comedy “Laid” is about what happens when ex-lovers start dying mysteriously? Here are the top new shows to check out this week.
“It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me” in the lyrics to Taylor Swift's “Anti-Hero,” which creators Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna describe as “f****ed-up rom-com” certainly applies to the protagonist of the piece, whom creators Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna describe as Ruby (Stephanie Hugh) discovers that her ex-lovers are dying under unusual circumstances. To find out why and to prevent the same thing from happening again to her new lover, she enlists the help of her best friend (Zosia Mamet) to go back through the sex timeline. It's a development not unlike the past.
All eight episodes premiere Thursday, December 19 at 3 a.m. ET on Peacock
