'Captain America: Brave New World' Reveals Special Video Teasing New Villain

On Your Left: A New Trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World” has been released, showcasing the MCU's highly anticipated superhero adventure. The MCU has been disappointing in recent years, but the latest Captain America film looks promising enough to break the doldrums.

After the first official trailer was released last month, Marvel rolled out a new “special look” at what to expect in the upcoming film. Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, gets Cap's shield and title, and Danny Ramirez's Joaquin Torres gets his first look at the Falcon suit. Check out the trailer below:

This action-packed spot is filled with explosions, political intrigue, and dynamic shots of our heroes along with President Thaddeus Ross played by Harrison Ford and Sidewinder played by Giancarlo Esposito. We also see the two heroes flying over the ruins of Celestial Tiamut.

“The world is on the brink of war. It's my job to fix it,” Wilson said in the trailer, later adding: ”Someone is pulling all the strings.

We get glimpses of a villain pulling the strings, but he is only a shadowy figure. That would be Samuel Stearns, a.k.a. The Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson, returning to the MCU 16 years after his debut in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. He delivers a cryptic message to Wilson. Captain America, you don't even know what this is.”

Of course, this is a Marvel movie, and one cannot pass the baton without a little sadness. The trailer ends with a little exchange between Danny and Sam, who argue over who wears it better: “Tell me your old gear doesn't look brand new.”

“Captain America: Brave New World” opens February 14, 2025. If you'd like to watch the MCU again while you wait, be sure to check out our guide on how to watch Marvel movies in order.
