The wait for Apple AirTags may soon be over, at least if the new iOS 145 beta is any indication Yes, Apple's long-rumored Tile competitor will probably make an appearance in the near future (perhaps at Apple's Spring 2021 event we keep hearing about)

The news comes from Twitter user @IceCoolTech, who posted two screens showing how Apple is updating its Find My app The major changes seen in the app are the location of third-party accessories and the activation of an "Items" section to track belongings

Tracking of items (as opposed to locating Apple devices) is only possible through the use of tracking devices such as the previously rumored AirTags Currently, the Find My app can only locate Apple devices that are signed into an iCloud account; at WWDC 2020, Apple mentioned that third-party device trackers will be supported in Find My

If Apple plans to make this version of the Find My app available in the final beta release of iOS 145, it would be natural for AirTags to be announced with the update In the past, Apple has announced software update release dates simultaneously with hardware announcements

The "Items" section was disabled in the previous iOS 145 beta version, but now appears by default, seemingly indicating that this feature is closer to completion than before Earlier, references to AirTags were found in iOS 143

Other products rumored for Apple's spring 2021 offerings include the iMac 2021 and two new tablets, the new iPad Pro 2021 and the new iPad 2021 However, we are not too sure about both of these tablets as Apple has not previously updated both at the same time
