Netflix's hit show “Cobra Kai” is known for its action in the dojo and on the mat, but there is plenty of personal drama happening off the mat as well.
And that will certainly continue in part two of “Cobra Kai” season 6, which will stream on Friday, November 15, along with five new episodes. (“Bridgerton” Season 3, “Emily in Paris” Season 4, “The Outer Banks” Season 4, etc.) Like other popular titles, the sixth and final installment of the “Karate Kid” spin-off series will consist of multiple parts, with the third and final episode scheduled for 2025.
The romance between Tory Nichols (Peyton List) and Robbie Keane (Tanner Buchanan) has provided plenty of drama fodder for the show's last few seasons, including how it might tie into the relationship between Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Miguel Diaz (Zorro Maridueña) The show has done so, but according to the creators of “Cobra Kai,” the story is far from over.
The world-famous “World Championships” karate tournament, which brings Miyagido to Barcelona this season, will bring turbulence not only to the kids' karate dreams, but also to their personal power relationships, especially between Robbie and Tory.
Tory not only made a decision in the Part 1 finale that would drastically change their relationship, but also put that decision to the test! - Not only did Tory make the shocking decision in the Part 1 finale to quit the Miyagi Road team following the tragic death of his mother and instead reunite with John Cleese (Martin Cove) as a member of Team Cobra Chi, but while in Spain for the World Championships, he also became the new It appears that he may even get close to one of his teammates: the ruthless and hostile karate star Kwon Jaesung, played by Brandon H. Lee. In the trailer for the new episode, Kwon can be seen with his arm intimately around the shoulder of a former Gudo student.
“When I go overseas, there's a big karate fuss. If you take a bunch of teenagers to a karate tournament in Barcelona and put them all in a hotel, all kinds of relationships start to develop,” Hayden Schlossberg, who produced ‘Cobra Kai’ with Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald, told Entertainment Weekly magazine in a recent interview.
“I don't want to say too much about what happens, but there's always drama off the mat. I think Robbie and Tory being in a negative place leaves an opportunity for Kwon to swoop in there. We'll have to see how it plays out, but be prepared for a little bit of drama off the mat.”
