Looking for the answer to today's Connections puzzle, the difficulty level for puzzle #537 on November 29 is considerably harder than yesterday's puzzle, with a Connections Companion difficulty level of 3.3 out of 5.

We update our Connections clues and hints daily. And if the hints aren't enough, see the four answers below, along with the category title and related words. In addition, for those of you reading this in another time zone, I have included a reflection on yesterday's puzzle, #536.

There are spoilers for Connections #537. Only those who want to know the answer to today's Connections should read on.

Alternatively, see our NYT Connections How to Play Guide for tips on how to solve the puzzle without our help.

While today's wordle solution guide recommends the best wordle starting words as a strategy, the Connections solution depends on identifying the categories that are connected from the 16 words. The difficulty of each category is represented by a color, with yellow being the easiest grouping and purple the most difficult. Hints are helpful as the answer is displayed after four wrong guesses.

If you need a hint to solve the groupings, here are each theme in order of difficulty:

These hints should at least give you an idea of how to find the answer to today's connection. If not, please continue reading for larger hints. Also, if you just want the answer, scroll down further.

Here's a bigger hint: Make an effort to enjoy HBO on your days off while you wait for baseball to return.

Now, what's the answer to today's Round 537 connection?

Drum roll, please.

We got a late start thanks to turkey day, but it was just the right speed for a holiday after a big meal.

We started with the blue category and a baseball team that saw Ray, Twin, Tiger, and National.

Next came yellow, which saw Projects and Ventures, which led to Enterprises and Efforts. I initially saved the first two for a spacecraft theme if possible. No luck.

Hertz, second, and volt made sense as a group, but I'm still not sure what a mole is a measurement of. I think it's chemistry based, but I never got it in school.

And we finished with some pretty good shows on HBO, including “Boardwalk (Empire),” “Curve (Enthusiasm),” “Game (of Thrones),” and “Silicon (Valley).”

Don't let the Black Friday sales hurt your wallet too much.

Are you reading this late in the day? According to Connections Companion, the difficulty level was 2.3 out of 5.

Today's relatively mild puzzle is designed to make Americans gluttonous and, hopefully, actually grateful.

Having seen purple first today, it was easy to go down the line saving purple as a good ending. Like yesterday, today began with an invitation to join a “trap” group, and today it was Thanksgiving related.

The yellow was gratitude with credit, praise, recognition, and thanksgiving. Gratitude.

Before I think of ducks, I always immediately think of cheaters when I see the word yarrah. Thus, I am quick to spot cheats, frauds, and fakes.

Speaking of gluttony, let's slow down today.

And then there's Fat Tuesday, Giving Tuesday, Super Tuesday, and Taco Tuesday. Tacos were the clue to this one.

Thanks to anyone who actually read this little essay below the clue.

If you celebrate Thanksgiving, have a happy and relaxing Thanksgiving. If not, enjoy your Thursday.
